AHS 2016 Junior Prom

AHS 2016 Junior Prom

The Algoma Junior class has set the date of April 9, 2016 for this year’s Prom. The theme this year is Jurassic Park and will be held at the Algoma High School Auxiliary Gymnasium from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am. The Grand March begins at 8:30 pm.

Tickets cost $10 for a couple, $5 for an individual and $3 for a spectator. Advanced tickets are being sold the week leading up to Prom. Ticket will also be available the night of Prom.

The Junior class would like to thank everyone who has contributed directly or indirectly to the event.

AJDJ will be providing the music, lights and photo booth for the event. The male members of court are renting their tuxedos from Tina Marie’s Boutique. The Junior class wants to thank Denny’s SuperValu and the Piggly Wiggly for donating water for the event.

The Junior Prom Court includes:

  • Alexis Herman escorted by Booker Prokash
  • Carly Baumann escorted by Zach Wery
  • Chloe Bair escorted by Max Grovogel
  • Shauna Slaby escorted by Chad Schneider
  • Peyton Prokash escorted by Jeremy Iwen
  • Kalista Paszczak escorted by Austin Lee
  • Madisyn Reimer escorted by Matthew Wahlers
  • Tori Schmidt escorted by Isaac Ballone.

The Junior Couple is Reagan Schneider escorted by Parker Stewart.

Prom clean-up will also occur immediately after the event. .

Algoma High School will be hosting its annual Post Prom event following the April 9th Junior Prom at the high school from 12:30 until 3am.

Students will need to have a permission slip signed to attend the event. The slips can be picked up in the office, but will need to be turned in when checking in at Post Prom, not the office this year.

For many years Algoma High School has hosted a post prom party for its students. The purpose is to give students a drug and alcohol free entertainment choice following prom. The event began as a parent initiated event to encourage positive choices following prom. Though the high school now hosts the event, no district dollars are used towards it. It relies entirely on the generosity of the community through both financial and manpower support.

Donations can still be made to this year’s event by mailing or dropping them off at the Algoma High School office or contacting Shelly Anderson (920-255-0679) or Corrina Wallace (920-255-0992) to arrange for pick up. Shelly and Corrina can also answer any questions you may have.

The event is still looking for food/snack and beverage donations for the Post Prom Party as well. Please contact Jamie Stangel (920-217-0124) if you are able to contribute and to arrange for drop off.

Thank you in advance for your support!
