Starting September 5, 2017, at 6 a.m. at the Wellness Center, Coach Ray Ball will be leading Bigger Faster Stronger. This will be every Monday-Thursday unless otherwise communicated. Fridays are dedicated to leadership development. All students are encouraged to attend “Focus Fridays” from 3:05 to 3:25 in the little theatre on Fridays. Scheduled speakers are posted at the school.
New for this semester, all MS and HS athletes are invited to attend both the strength and conditioning sessions and Focus Fridays. Students should check with their coaches about participating if they are currently participating in a sport. Some coaches incorporate strength and conditioning into their practices. We do not want overuse injuries. Coordinate with your coach.
The first 25 students to register will be eligible to track their progress with our on-line BFS tracking software. Other students may track their progress on their own. Coach Ball will track attendance.
Students involved in BFS will also be accountable to both Coach Ray Ball and Athletic Director David Robertson for their academic performance. Grade checks will be performed frequently and students not performing well can expect to be encouraged by both Mr. Ball and Mr. Robertson.
Following work-outs, students may choose to use the school showers to clean-up for school. There are new showers and updated plumbing in the boy’s locker room. A healthy breakfast including entree, fruit, milk etc. is available in the cafeteria at 7:30 am for around $1.50.
