12/8/17: The tombstone will be my diploma: The joy of being a lifetime learner

December 8, 2017
The tombstone will be my diploma: The joy of being a lifetime learner
Presenter: Aaron Renquin

Mr. Renquin will discuss the benefits of making learning a lifestyle rather than a task. He will speak on the virtues of not limiting yourself to structured education and challenging your own beliefs on what is “important information.”

About Aaron Renquin – The best compliment Aaron Renquin ever received was when his 10th grade social studies teacher called him “the encyclopedia I can’t close”. Before beginning his teaching career 11 years ago, Aaron worked in retail, transportation, building maintenance, and construction. He became a teacher to encourage children to see the joys of learning and take an interest in the world around them. He currently teaches Geography and has the most entertaining desk in Algoma High School. When he isn’t leading a Cub Scout meeting or teaching himself traditional woodworking, Aaron enjoys traveling to new places with his wife and two sons.
