Seniors, participating in the graduation ceremony is a privilege. If you have not taken care of your financial obligations, you will not be included in the ceremony. This includes:
– Class dues
– Art fees
– Book fees
– Shop fees
– Band fees
– Registration fees
Outstanding fees will be posted on the office window. If you have questions, please check with the office.
If any seniors are interested in purchasing one of the HP 455 model laptops, please stop in the office to sign up for one. The cost is $50 and needs to be paid at pick up.
BFS Summer Program
Are you interested in getting stronger throughout the summer? If so Mr. Ball is providing some times throughout the summer to get stronger. BFS will have two sessions in the summer.
Session 1: June 11th through June 29th; M, W, F 12:30 – 2:00 pm.
Session 2: July 9th through July 27th; M, W, F Two available time slots 6:00 -7:30 am and 12:00 – 1:30 pm.

Football Interest Meeting
There will be an informational meeting for any student freshman through junior that is interested in participating in football next year. The meeting will occur on Tuesday, May 22nd during the morning break in room 103. If you miss or can not attend the meeting, please see Mr. Vandervest.
Join your classmates for a last get-together: Graduation Breakfast at Beverly Gardens. We will take a bus from school at 8:30 a.m. on June 3. Please sign up with Ms. Gould by Friday, May 25th. The class will cover the cost.
AP US History Meeting
Students who have AP US History next school year: Our meeting will be Wednesday, May 30th at 3:00 in Mr. Kruis’ room. If you can’t make the meeting for whatever reason, please let Mr. Kruis know so he can get the materials to you.
Return Library Books
Do you have a library book in your locker or at home that you are done reading? It’s time to return any books to the library that you are no longer reading. All books must be returned to the library by Friday, June 1st!
End of the Year Bash Volunteers Needed
Algoma Elementary PTS will be hosting the End of the Year Bash on Friday, June 1st at Algoma Elementary School. They are looking for volunteers to work at the games and bounce houses for one hour shifts. Save the date: Dairy Days Dash 5K will be held Saturday, June 2nd. This year the proceeds will benefit the Luxemburg-Casco Best Buddies. The course will begin at the Luxemburg Community Center. Register online at www.active.com, search dairy days dash 2018 or pick up a registration form in the HS office.
Open Gym- Volleyball
North Shore Crush will be hosting Open Gym’s again this summer for grades 9 – graduating/graduated at St. Mary Catholic School. This is open to anyone and any school that wants to come and is not affiliated with Algoma Volleyball. Normally it would be held on Monday and Friday nights, there is supervision but there is not any coaching, so we will confirm days and times. If anyone has any questions on this, please let Eric Dean know.
Summer Employment Opportunity
Green Bay Packaging has a great summer employment opportunity for high school students who will be graduating this spring. These open positions are plant positions for coverage of their full-time employees. See Mrs. Holloway if interested.
Qualifying students must be:
At least 18 years of age
Must submit proof of acceptance of enrollment in a continuing post high school education program in the fall
Commitment to work a minimum of 11 consecutive weeks
Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the shift
Willingness to work rotating shifts
Must pass drug screen process
Summer Employment Opportunity
Port-A-Pier in Brussels is looking for summer help. The company manufacturers their own line of product as well as sells and services all makes of docks and piers. The position will include joining the install crew putting in customer’s piers and boat lifts. This could also potentially work into a full time/permanent position if the right candidate is found. C & S Manufacturing Corporation in Sturgeon Bay is looking for graduating seniors who are not planning on going to college and are looking for permanent full time employment. Their hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm. They are a metal stamping company, that produces different types of hangers and fastener for the plumbing and HVAC industry. Machine operators, packers, assemblers are needed. They offer a full benefit package, vacation, holiday pay, health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing.
