A team of student chefs from Algoma High School made up of Jacklyn Dean , Liberty Ansorage, and GG Wierichs qualified as one of the top five finalists in the the seventh annual Whipping Up Wellness, Wisconsin Student Chef Competition.
The teams prepared their recipes during the Cooking Competition at Madison Area Technical College – Truax Campus on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Dishes were judged on taste, student appeal, presentation, and creativity. The five finalists from the Cooking Competition received a banner to display at their school and recognition on the Department of Public Instruction website. Qualifying recipes may be included in the seventh annual Wisconsin Student Chef Competition Cookbook.
The chefs from Algoma placed as the runner up with their chipotle sweet potato burrito. The judges LOVED their dish!! Congratulations!
