The Kewaunee County Health Department will hold an influenza immunization clinic in the Algoma School District on Friday, October 25, 2019.
The times at each school are:
- Algoma High School from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Algoma Elementary School from 2:30 – 3 p.m.
Injectable vaccine will be available free of charge while supplies last. Please note that Flumist (the nasal vaccine) will not be available through the health department.
If you have a student in the district and you want your child to receive the vaccine at school, please:
- Read the Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) carefully. The VIS explains why people should get this vaccine, who should delay getting it and who should not get it at all.
- Sign and return the consent form to your child’s school by: Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

For parents who may want to accompany their child during the vaccination, health department staff will be present immediately after school for vaccine administration at the Algoma Elementary as needed.
