- Parent/Community Involvement (812): Outlines the six essential elements to be promoted in order to enhance parent/guardian involvement. Adopted: November 22, 2011
- Public Information Program (820): Acknowledges the superintendent or designee as public information contact. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- School-Sponsored Information Media (821): The responsibility for publicity of events lies with the activity leader or respective department head. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- News Media Relations (822): The Superintendent will handle media releases for items of interest to the general public. Adopted: September 26, 1988
- Access to Public Records (823): Specifies custodians of public records and procedures to obtain access of said records. Adopted: January 22, 2001 Revised: April 22, 2002
- Access to Public Records Request Form (823A): Written request form for access to public records as outlined in policy 823.
- Tobacco Use on School Premises (831): All tobacco products are banned on all school property. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Procedures for Handling Violations of the Board’s Tobacco Use On School Premises Policy Rule (831): Outlines specifics of implementation of policy 831. Adopted: August 29, 1990
- Weapons on School Property (832): Prohibition of possession, use or storage of a weapon on school property, on school buses or at any school-related event. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Public Gifts To School (840): Outlines policy for accepting gifts and grants to the Algoma School District. Adopted: January 22, 2001 Revised: January 24, 2005
- Gifts and Bequests Acceptance (840 Rule): Specific procedures to be followed when making a gift to the Algoma School District. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Public Money Solicitations In The Schools (850): Solicitations of public contributions must be approved by the Board of Education, Superintendent or building principal. Adopted: August 26, 2002
- Charity Drives (850.1): Charity Drives benefitting outside organizations are at the discretion of the individual building principal (if drive i.e. held in only that building), or by the superintendent (if the drive benefits the entire district). Adopted: August 26, 2002
- Visitors To The Schools (860): Persons with legitimate school business are encouraged to visit our schools. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Visitors To The Schools Rules (860.1): All visitors must check in at the school office before going anywhere in the building. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Parent Visitations (861): Parent visitations are encouraged. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Presence on School Property (862): Any person on school property without permission or for a reason other than attendance for educational purposes may be considered trespassing. Adopted: October 22, 2001

- Procedures for Handling Public Complaints About Instructional Materials (871 Rule): Rules for staff and personnel for handling complaints made to them about instructional materials. Adopted: October 22, 2001

- Public Complaints About School Personnel (872): Written complaints about school personnel shall be submitted in writing to the Principal who shall respond within 10 working days. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Public Complaints About Policies (873): Written complaints about school policies shall be submitted in writing to the Principal who shall respond within 10 working days. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Sunday/Wednesday Activities (881.1): Outlines limitations for activities on Sunday and Wednesday and exception request procedure. Adopted: October 22, 2001 Revised: October 18, 2010
- Intra-School Problems (Contacting Police) 882.1: Handling violations that occur when a student is under the supervision of the school. Adopted: September 26, 1988 Revised: March 24, 2003
- Relations With Local Education Organizations (891): Cooperation will exist between the Algoma School Distric Board of Education and with the PTS, Booster Club, Fine Arts, TAPS, and the Algoma Education Association. Adopted: September 26, 1988 Revised: October 22, 2001
- Relations With Private Schools/Programs (891.2): Home-based students may not borrow school materials but may, upon written request, participate in the schools competency testing program and system-wide achievement testing. Adopted: October 22, 2001
- Research and Surveys Withing In The Schools (893): All research studies carried out within the School District of Algoma, using school district or building data of any kind, staff or students as subjects shall be approved in advance by the District Administrator or his/her designee. Adopted: September 23, 2002
