Philosophy: An individual’s total education extends beyond the classroom. The purpose of an effective co-curricular program must be to provide each student with opportunities for emotional, cultural, mental, physical and social growth. This growth can be accomplished through activities that support and advance the curriculum, promote common interests, develop a sense of ownership in the school, and reflect and enhance the goals of the District.
From the athlete who achieves a personal best at a track meet to a team that takes a State championship, the Algoma athletic program builds on the strengths of its participants both in the classroom and on the competitive stage.

Every Sport Needs More High School Officials
Currently, there is a critical shortage of high school officials in almost every sport in our state.
Officiating is a great way to stay in shape, meet new people, earn a few extra bucks and make a positive difference in the community.
